Title: Part-time Paid CCJDC Program Intern
Hours: 15 hrs/week, flexible schedule
Pay: $15-$20/hr, dependent on experience
Location: Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center (CCJDC), 9300 Quincy Ave # 4100, Cleveland, OH 44106(Hybrid)
Travel: Limited in-city travel
About the Juvenile Justice Coalition
JJC is a state-wide advocacy organization that works with Ohio youth who are at-risk of involvement or involved in the juvenile justice system. The Juvenile Justice Coalition strives to provide a youth-centered organizational vehicle for people affected by the juvenile justice system and their communities through policy advocacy, community organizing and education, and nurturing leadership. Skills and Qualifications:

Able to lead and work both independently and in a team setting
Strong organizational, research, written, and verbal communication skills
Computer and smartphone literacy
Possesses reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Job Roles:
Recruit and supervise volunteers for the CCJDC book club program
Connect and communicate regularly with local organizations, schools, community members, facility staff, etc.
Assist in lesson planning for the program
Communicate and coordinate schedules with the CCJDC
Attend JJC team meetings regularly
Job Requirements:
Communicates in a timely and strategic manner
Organize information in a clear and consistent way
Ability to gather and curate information from disparate sources
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication and emailing/call skills
Project management skills or experience is a plus
